Automated Backups,
Recovered in Minutes

Rewind automatically creates daily snapshots of all of your repositories. Backup snapshots have a 365 day retention period on the cloud, with no size limits. Rewind Backups provides comprehensive coverage including repositories and GitHub metadata.

Cloud sync features allow you to automate the creation of daily backup copies on your Azure Blob or Amazon S3 storage. This way you will have an additional copy of your backups in your own storage which helps to satisfy the 3-2-1 rule.

Rewind allows you to rapidly restore a backup snapshot up to 365 days back in time in a few clicks through the self-serve portal. Backups are directly created on your GitHub account without affecting your current code.

Stay Compliant and Audit-Ready

You can choose between EU-based and US-based servers for your Rewind cloud storage location. This helps with complying with regulatory requirements such as GDPR or HIPAA as your backups will be stored in the chosen location only.

Rewind is SOC 2 and GDPR compliant, mitigating your third-party risks. SOC 2 Type 2 report is provided with NDA to help your audit processes.

Rewind protects your data with military-grade encryption — AES-256. All backups are encrypted with the AES-256 bit encryption algorithm at rest and in transit. Rewind’s SOC 2 audit provides further transparency and security, verified by Rewind’s SOC 2 Type 2 report.

Audit log is a centralized stream of all systems and user activity. It contains critical information to improve security and help with compliance needs. Audit log covers activities such as backups, restores, logins, logouts, account creations, account deletions, and more.

Boost Productivity with
Seamless Security

With Rewind, you can centralize your backups. All organization owners and admins can access backups and restore them as needed. The Rewind interface is simple and intuitive, requiring no special training.

“I’ve been through disasters. I’ve seen people just delete things or make a mistake. And I’ve seen viruses go scampering across the network, so I know their destructive capabilities. I’ve seen why a third-party backup is important.”
