Rewind Wins 2020-21 Cloud Award

International Cloud Computing Awards Program Celebrates Cloud-Based Innovation

Ottawa, Canada – 28 January 2021 – Rewind, the leading Backup-as-a-Service (BaaS) provider for top cloud applications, has been declared the winner of the Best Cloud DR/Business Continuity Solution this week in the International Cloud Computing Awards program, The Cloud Awards.

“It’s an honor to be recognized in this year’s international Cloud Awards,” said Mike Potter, co-founder and CEO of Rewind. “Our team has worked hard to build technology that truly makes a difference in people’s lives.”

As the adoption of SaaS and cloud products accelerates at a dramatic pace, Rewind is on a mission to protect all businesses by protecting the cloud. Today, the company protects more than 33 billion data points for over 80,000 businesses worldwide. Rewind Backups is currently available for BigCommerce, QuickBooks Online, Shopify, and Shopify Plus and has plans to dramatically increase the number of platform integrations over 2021, with the aim of offering a BaaS solution for every major SaaS tool used in today’s technology stack.

“Demonstrating excellence in the DR category is difficult because The Cloud Awards receive so many strong applications. Rewind focuses on offering more than just a safety net to their customers, with products that seamlessly blend into the day-to-day running of a business. Well done, Rewind!”, said Annabelle Whittall, lead judge for the Cloud Awards.

“Rewind is a deserving winner of the 2020-21 Cloud Awards,” added James Williams, head of operations for the Cloud Awards. “Organizations and individuals that operate in the cloud have risen to all these trials, from colossal to minor, and whether directly or indirectly related to this global crisis. The final winners of the 2020-21 Cloud Awards deserve a small place in history for their sheer belligerence and commitment to excellence in the environment of a devastating pandemic.”

Hundreds of organizations entered the Cloud Awards, with entries coming from across the globe, covering the Americas, Australia, Europe and the Middle East. You can view the full shortlist here: https://www.cloud-awards.com/2020-shortlist/.

The Cloud Awards will return with a new Cloud Computing program in fall 2021 to continue its recognition of excellence in cloud computing.

The SaaS Awards, a sister recognition platform to the Cloud Awards, is also now open for early 2021 entries. This software awards program finds and promotes the best software across a range of industries, with a May 21 deadline: https://www.cloud-awards.com/software-as-a-service-awards
