A self-proclaimed serial entrepreneur, Mike Potter is the co-founder and CEO of Rewind, the leading data backup and recovery provider for cloud and SaaS data. While studying Mechanical Engineering at McMaster University, Mike began his start-up career as the founder of InTheHack.com, one of the most popular sporting websites in Canada. Since founding Rewind in 2015, Mike has focused on building a company culture that values and respects employees. “I’m a big believer in creating strong teams, hiring great people, and giving them the freedom to do their best work”, he adds. When Mike isn’t running backups, he can usually be found assembling LEGOs with his kids or walking his dogs.
James is the co-founder and CTO of Rewind, the leading data backup and recovery provider for cloud and SaaS data. After completing a Bachelor of Math, Computer Science/Software Engineering at the University of Waterloo, James has over 20 years of experience building highly scalable software and services in the fields of telecommunications, media, and financial technology in both enterprise and start-up environments. An experienced technical leader, James has successfully overseen the development and launch of a variety of software products, including Rewind’s inaugural backup-as-a-service (BaaS) app, Rewind Backups for Shopify. In 2019, James was honoured as a member of the Ottawa 40 Under 40. When he isn’t in front of his computer, James can typically be found running after his kids, cooking with his wife, and volunteering to be in net for every pick-up hockey game he can find.
With 25 years of experience in marketing, Line has established herself as a leader in the industry. She founded and successfully grew a digital marketing agency for 10 years, boasting 45 employees and serving local tech startups and lifestyle companies. During her tenure at Bookmark (WPP Group) and Weber Shandwick (IPG Group), two of the world’s most renowned agencies in content marketing and PR, respectively, she solidified her expertise by serving high-profile clients such as IBM, Amazon, Bombardier, and Air Canada. Fueled by her passion for tech and AI, Line transitioned to working on the client side in B2B SaaS companies such as Keatext AI, Nakisa and TrackTik. She has helped early-stage startups in their journey from pre-seed to seed to series A funding and has played a pivotal role in supporting successful exits for scale-ups in hyper-growth. Line is an advocate for the application of AI in marketing use cases and is a firm believer in the power of brand to drive business success.
Siobhan Devlin is an experienced legal professional who is knowledgeable in the start-up space. She has served as the General Counsel and Corporate Secretary for a variety of technology companies. Siobhan has extensive experience in intellectual property protection, privacy law, mergers and acquisitions, contract negotiations, and business development. She is currently serving as the Chief Legal Officer for Rewind.
Can make it fluffier if needed…Daniel has 25 years of experience in building Internet products. His experience is rooted in an entrepreneurial engineering background, with B2B SaaS product leadership forming the last 12 years. Within startups and established companies, he’s led technical and product teams to deliver impactful work for organizations including ASOS, Heineken, and AKQA. As an entrepreneur, he’s taken three companies from zero to exit. A web agency, a Shopify product portfolio, and a Shopify developer product. Daniel is originally from Scotland and now lives in Copenhagen, Denmark, with his partner and three children. He’s often out on the Øresund sailing or enjoying the city’s food.
Danika is an operations leader with a solid background in finance and strategy, currently leading operations at Rewind. With a wealth of experience in driving operational excellence and delivering impactful business results, Danika has a proven track record of helping companies achieve their financial and operational goals. At Shopify, Danika refined her financial acumen by overseeing unit economics, budgeting and return on investments for the company. Her strategic mindset was further sharpened during her MBA and earlier roles in Mergers and Acquisitions. Danika is passionate about optimizing processes, building high-performing teams, and outside of work, enjoying the great outdoors of British Columbia.
Bradley is a finance leader with extensive experience in the high-growth SaaS industry, complemented by a solid background in boutique and international public accounting firms. With over 15 years of experience in the finance sector, Bradley is a results-driven, resourceful leader skilled in building and scaling adaptable finance teams, driving process automation, and implementing robust internal controls. His expertise includes managing full-cycle accounting processes, strategic business partnering, financial modelling and a strong technical knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP, ensuring all statutory and corporate obligations are met. Bradley holds a Master’s degree from the University of London and is a Chartered Accountant.
Originally from the UK he relocated to Canada in 2019 and currently calls Vancouver home. Outside of work Bradley spends the majority of his time with his wife and young daughter exploring the outdoors or pursuing his love of music via attending concerts or playing guitar.
