Xray backup and restore is an add-on to Rewind Backups for Jira. Your Jira instance needs an active Rewind Backups for Jira subscription on the Advanced or Enterprise plan before Xray coverage can turn on.
A tester accidentally deletes a Test that's part of a release-blocking Test Plan. Restore just that one item from Rewind and it reappears in Jira with its steps and folder intact, ready to run again.
A bulk update changes the wrong Test Plan right before a release. Restore the plan from the backup before the bulk update and its tests come right back, so the release can proceed on schedule.
An import script overwrites a Test Set with the wrong data. Restore the set from before the import ran and its test, precondition, and folder links come back exactly as they were.
